Cake Genie
was established in 1992 by Julie Orton who is the founder and
sole proprietor. After attending evening classes in cake decoration
she went on to study at Fareham College and completed a two
year City & Guilds course in Creative Design and Sugarcraft.
Julie also gained a City & Guilds, Adult
Education Teaching Certificate and taught at Felpham Community
College Adult Education Centre. She continues to teach privately
at home where she can give one to one tuition. She has attended
courses in Hygiene and food and safety seminars organised
by Arun District Council. Julie has just finished a training course with the UK Chocolatier Master 2007 and 2008.
Cake
Genie's
premises have also been inspected by the Arun District Council's
Environmental Health Department who commented on "a very
clean and well run kitchen".
Cake Genie is a member of the Buy With Confidence Scheme run by West Sussex Trading Standards.
